G scale is popularly associated with garden railways and with its 45mm trackwork is the largest scale supported by the club on site.  Models using this track may not be to a constant scale themselves but generally tend to be between 1:22 and 1:32 and may be to either fine or coarse modelling standards.
For this reason, it is probably more accurate to talk of 'G gauge' rather than 'G scale' although 'G Scale' remains the commercial branding.
Within the club, G scale models tend to represent American or Continental prototypes although 'Thomas' also makes an occasional appearance.

With the new building work now being more progressed, it is likely that this layout will move to its own dedicated area.
